Shady Valley
Wednesday, July 18, 2018 - Sanitas Valley Trail
Phase 1. We escaped direct sunlight by sheltering in the shadow along the Sanitas Valley trail, remaining cool and comfortable for the duration of the hike.
Phase 2. Dinner at Rio Grande.
Phase 3. Coffee at Trident, at the front table by the mailbox slot. A bellowing patron pontificating about real estate. Lesson of the Night: "buy low, sell high."
Question of the Night:
What kind of beer was that, at Rio Grande?
Raspberry Lime Ale, otherwise known as "dreck." (See also: "swill.") S & D thought the waitress said watermelon, not that it would have made a difference. Crisp, effervescent, reminiscent of bug juice (i.e., fruit punch); pairs well with nothing.
