Mesa Valley Trail
Phase 1: S & D at first intended to wander along the Shanahan Ridge Trail, but alas, it was closed due to flood damage. Instead, the pair ventured south toward Eldorado Springs, and decided on the popular Marshall Mesa trailhead. Dodging bikes, our stalwart hikers marched up the Mesa Valley Trail, then returned via Marshall Mesa.
Phase 2: C joined S & D for dinner and drinks at West Flanders Brewing Co, a somewhat crowded venue; fortunately space was available immediately on the veranda out front.
Phase 3: A late evening visit to Trident, where it was revealed to us, speakeasy-style, that beer and wine was available at the Bookstore checkout desk. We admired the arrangement, I suspect, but did not partake, at least not this particular evening.
