Aye aye, Calypso
Phase 1: A successful, if rainy, excursion from Wild Basin Trailhead in RMNP to the actual Calypso Cascades, 0.4 mi past the bridge over the St. Vrain (which I’d previously thought to be the cascades, but no). On the way up, the 0.4 miles seems like 0.75; on the way down, 0.25. Light rain and 52ºF, fairly pleasant. Numerous people (mostly on their way down).
Phase 3: Coffee and bagel at New Moon, Nederland.
Phase 2: Meatball flatbread subs, at mom’s.
