Phase 1: D and S walked up and down the trail at Joder Ranch, discussing the various owners and properties surrounding the area. Meanwhile, the clouds rolled apace, the sun sank behind them, and the heavens deigned briefly to cast a golden light upon the gently sloping flank of Haystack Mountain, so to warm the resting rattlesnakes who call that hillside home.
Phase 2: The Hungry Toad. Much examination and rumination over the various antique metal signs scattered hither and yon.
Phase 3: Trident. Observations of backgammon, selection of postcards, and research into the probing questions whose answers eluded us in the prior phases:
