To Mask, or Not to Mask

To Mask, or Not to Mask

Sunday, April 5, 2020 — Meadowlark Trail

About 10% of people were wearing masks. These people waved, or nodded in passing, like motorcyclists passing on the highway.

The unmasked, unwashed, these stared like idiots; like it was their first time; like they were seeing the elephant man; like they were behind the glass at the polar bear exhibit.

Oh well.

Sometime I’m going to do a graphical representation of the size of breath droplets, vs. knit t-shirt material, vs bacteria, vs viruses.

Mine isn’t N95, or N-anything. It’s a knit-t-shirt sleeve, tied behind my ears with rope I’ve had since I was a boy scout. No rubber bands, no hair ties. Be Be Be Prepared.

Got pretty sweaty, breathy. Then I went home, threw eveything in the wash, and washed hands and face, with much lather, for well over 20 seconds.
