Phase 1: South Boulder Creek West by way of Greenbelt Plateau
D, D2, and S met at the Greenbelt Plateau Trail, only to find it closed due to mud. Despite everyone’s best efforts, our fearless adventurers detected no mud, nor hardly a puddle at the Greenbelt Trail. Nonetheless, the trailhead was marked as closed and the parking lot gate was locked. So hied them hence, a league or so northward, to the directionally ambiguous trail known as South Boulder Creek West.
Thus they ambled somewhat westerly, and a bit south, and west. A little mud here and there, a few puddles, some frogs in the pond nearby. Several other hikers. A red-winged blackbird on a fence.
